Meet FLEX Abroad Students 2023/2024!
FLEX Abroad program is a cultural exchange for American teenagers who want to spend one academic year in Poland. This year we are hosting six American teenagers in Poland. They come from different states. Some of them are still high school students in the U.S. whereas the others just graduated from their school and are taking a ‘gap year’.
All FLEX Abroad students live with host families and attend classes in the public high schools in Warsaw. Chase, Jacob, Jordan, Maadhavan, Margaret and Sophie are creative and sociable people. During their stay in Poland, they eagerly participate in local communities doing some volunteering activities. Have a look at their profiles above.
Jordan
Hello! My name is Jordan, and I am 18 years old. I live in Hudson, Wisconsin in the USA, but now I live in Podkowa Leśna. I enjoy learning languages, singing, dancing, reading, writing, being active, and talking with friends. English is my native language, but I also speak German, and I know a little Spanish and Swedish. Now I am also learning Polish of course!
Sophie
Sophie is a 2023-24 FLEX abroad participant, spending this year in Warsaw, Poland. Before this year, she spent her life in Washington, New Jersey, a small town in the U.S.A. In her free time, Sophie enjoys spending time with friends (and making new ones,) listening to and making music, traveling, and crafting and creating all sorts of projects. She is passionate about vintage fashion, theater, and the environment. This year, she hopes to expand her world view, meet new people, and learn new things that will change her outlook on things. Above all, she is so excited to live in Poland!!
Margaret
Hi! My name is Margaret, and I'm from Colorado, US. I like being outside, skiing, staying active, and traveling. I will be staying in Warsaw, Poland for the next 10 months on a FLEX Abroad program. I'm looking forward to meeting new people, exploring the differing cultures of both Poland and USA, and being able to witness how a culture impacts the society, community, and the individuals of a country.
Maadhavan
Hello! My name is Maadhavan and I am from New Jersey. I enjoy music (playing and listening) and I am also a big sports fan. I am so excited to be an exchange student in Warsaw! I am looking forward to exploring this beautiful city as much as I can. While I’m here, I hope I can establish meaningful relationships with the people I meet and understand the rich Polish culture and history. This is going to be a great year!

Hello! My name is Jacob or (Jakub) and I'm from Texas. A few hobbies of mine are chess, piano, and running. I'm super excited to be going to CLV Liceum Ogólnokształcące z Oddziałami Dwujęzycznymi im. Bohaterek Powstania Warszawskiego and meeting you all.
